November 14 - December 16 (no class week of Thanksgiving)/4 Weeks
LIMITED TO 6 STUDENTS
Learn beginning sewing and stitching with Sarah! Geared toward adult only students wanting to learn to sew using a machine, various hand stitches and everyone completes 1-2 projects per session. Each 5 (or 4 week) session may be taken as a single program or in a row with enough variety to keep you interested.
Class will begin by learning what should be included in everyone's sewing basket; working on the sewing machine with all the steps to continue on their own. Additionally, everyone will learn basic hand stitches including the running, basting, whip, and blind hem stitches.
Students will use their knowledge to create their very own handmade items (typically 1-2 per 5 week session) plus a hand sewn pincushion - fun!
Each 5 week program will build skills and know-how to work at home. Students may take each 5 week by itself or for the entire semester.
