Make a Mug Clay Workshop teens-adults/April 22 or June 24
No experience necessary! First, work on the pottery wheel for about 60 minutes to create a couple of cylinders, next work (using the coil method) to make a mug by hand and finally work toward attaching handles, adding stamps and underglazes and anything else to make it yours. Teacher will have a premed cylinder to work on, too. Expect to make up to 3 completed mugs - fun! Pick up two-three weeks later.

Form of the Human Head Workshop Jeff Gottfried, April 29/30
Join Jeff Gottfried, museum artist, sculptor and friend in his 2 day workshop to create the human head on April 29th and 30th.
9:30am -4:30pm each day with an hour lunch break
Award winning sculptor Jeff Gottfried uses his 25 years of sculpting experience and his skills as a professional educator to share his passion for the 3 dimensional form!
In this 2 day workshop, students will sculpt a 2/3-life human bust using high fire ceramic paper clay. Through demonstrations, lectures, and individual instruction, students will learn basic sculpture techniques: clay manipulation, tools, armature, measuring techniques, and anatomy (proportions & planes, skull, eyes, nose, mouth, ears, neck & shoulders, and hair).
From sculpting techniques to appreciation of form, Jeff will guide students through the basics and unlock the wonderful world of sculpture! At the end of the workshop, students will have an accurate and artistic clay representation of the human head of their own creation!

This class includes meet and greet, instruction, wheel throwing and clean up: 90 minutes of actual work on the wheel. Arrive a few minutes prior to your event start time pm wearing comfortable clothes, trimmed fingernails and drinks in hand - we supply the rest! You will learn to throw on the wheel, make a few bowls, pick your glazes and our studio will trim, fire, glaze and fire again - sending you a message for porch pickup 2-3 weeks later.

Work with slabs and extruded clay, texture and underglazes to make a personal 12" by 16" cheese or charcuterie board (or make 2 smaller pieces). Studio will fire and dip in clear white or clear blue glaze - a beautiful and personal additional to your table.

Want to play on the wheel with us? This is a group pottery wheel class perfect for people looking for fun activities, trying out new things and playing with clay. While not easy, our artists/instructors make it fun and engaging.
Expect to make 4 items and keep your 3 best.
After you leave our studio will finish your pottery with trimming, firing and glazing and will alert you for pick up 2-3 weeks later.
Wear comfortable clothes, trim any long nails and tie back long hair.
Suitable for all ages but ages 13* and under should come with their parents attending as well.

In this medicine workshop, participants will create tinctures and infusions and learn how to charge them. Everyone makes 4-6 items and leaves with the knowledge to continue this at home. Britt leads the program with Holographic Sound, Reiki and Light Language and helps participants to delveg deeper into the questions "what is healing?" and "what can I create myself to assist my healing?"
Bring sample plant material with you: step outside into an outdoor space where you live and locate 3 different plants and snip a small portion of (ask permission), note location - i.e. north, south, etc. Not a plant that you planted but a volunteer or "weed"
Panel Painting Landscapes on Sundays with Lisa Long
Work in the studio with artist Lisa Long and create hang worthy art for your home. Each panel measures more than 14" and stained dark with built in hanging wire.

Saturday 10-4pm with a 1 hour lunch break.
Imagine creating a truly original and hang-worthy piece of art entirely out of mosaics, glass, marble, and tile. Students work on a personal design or choose ideas from our images (limit to 12" x 12") with snipping, cutting, sanding and glueing. Students leave with white or black grout and instructions to complete at home.
Consider bringing in old treasured ceramics to add to your design.
Glass Fusing Frit Design Workshop/April 22 10am -3pm
Glass Fusing and Frit Design Workshop is an all-level adult, hands on workshop led by Deanna Smith. Students will learn cutting, snipping, attaching and designing on 8" x 10" glass. Work may be designed with samples from our studio or feel free to bring a black and white image to work from. All materials included and fused art will be returned in 2-4 weeks time.

A complete workshop taking participants step by step into the world of basketweaving with our lovely visiting artist Jennifer Rogers with the Collin County Farm Museum.
